<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device in which a driving direction is not limited on the one straight line so-called flexible linear movement is possible. <P>SOLUTION: The drive device has a feed screw mechanism including a coil spring forming a screw shaft, a roller engaging with the outer periphery of the coil spring, the nut holding the roller in the inner periphery of the same and capable of relatively rotating to the coil spring via the roller. The linear movement can be continued by the coil spring or the screw shaft flexibly receiving external force and deforming in the case the external force acts on the nut or the coil spring during the linear movement because the screw shaft is the coil spring.
