<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which allows reduction in production cost by dispensing with a period for initial adjustment for the correction of variation in pixel output. <P>SOLUTION: While ordinary operation is performed, storage operation for measurement is performed during a shorter storage period than a normal storage period. On the basis of a pair of sheets of image data obtained by the storage operation for measurement and the ordinary operation just after the storage operation for measurement, photoelectric transfer characteristic is estimated, and the pixel output is corrected using the estimated photoelectric transfer characteristic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
