<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a magnesium secondary battery as a next-generation battery with high electric capacity replacing a lithium ion battery, and a magnesium secondary battery which uses magnesium or magnesium alloy as a negative electrode, and uses the electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the electrolyte for the magnesium secondary battery which includes imidazolium derivative cation, having groups selected out of alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl, and (alkoxy-polyalkyleneoxy) alkyl in first and third places and an alkyl group in a second place, and a Grignard reagent; and the magnesium secondary battery whose negative electrode is made of magnesium or alloy including magnesium and which uses the electrolyte as its electrolyte. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
