More particularly, the invention relates to compositions comprising an extract of the banana, alone or in combination with other ingredients and fruit and/or vegetable extracts for the purpose of providing health and beauty benefits. Methods of producing the extracts and nutraceuticals are also provided. Methods of treating various ailments or conditions using the extracts or nutraceutical compositions of the invention are also provided.
