A battery of the present invention is provided with: an electrode plate; leads (50, 55) connected to the electrode plate; external terminals (86, 87) having the leads (50, 55) connected thereto; a battery case (80) which houses the electrode plate and the leads (50, 55), and has the external terminals (86, 87) fixed thereto with an insulating material therebetween; and heat dissipating bodies (60, 70), which have heat transfer characteristics, and which are in contact with the leads (50, 55) and the inner surface of the battery case (80). |
