PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent a variation in brightness between the lower end part and the upper end part of a liquid crystal panel, thereby improving display quality. CONSTITUTION: First and second common voltages are respectively supplied to first and second active regions. The first common voltage and the second common voltage have different polarity. Data voltage is supplied to each data line according to a scan signal. A first light source group and a second light source group are switched on according to duty ratio. The first light source group is switched off at a time point in which the polarity of the first common voltage is converted. The second light source group is switched off at a time point in which the polarity of the second common voltage is converted. |
