PURPOSE: A vertical juicer is provided to improve the operating stability by preventing a screw from rotating while a lid is opened because first and second contact switches and first and second safety protrusions are formed. CONSTITUTION: A vertical juicer comprises a main body(100), a motor(200), a container(300), a lid(400), a filtering mesh(500), and a screw. An extraction protrusion is formed in the inner side of the filtering mesh. An extraction groove is formed in one or more screw threads formed in the outer circumference to correspond to the extraction protrusion. An uneven unit of jagged shape is formed in the lower inner side of the filtering mesh. The objects lower along the screw threads when the screw rotates. Juice is primarily between the screw thread and filtering mesh. The objects are secondarily extracted between the extraction groove and protrusion while the extraction groove passes by the extraction protrusion. The objects are cut and thirdly extracted between the screw threads and the uneven unit.
