<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing load for verifying a communication path. <P>SOLUTION: A verification device is used in a system in which a first device 2 and a second device 3 communicate with each other using a physical communication path including at least one switch 4A to 4C among switches included in a plurality of switch groups 4 and not including the plurality of switches 5A to 5C belonging to a different switch group 5.
