<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a wringer for a mascara container assembly comprises several annular creases and has the disadvantage that the inside of the annular creases rapidly fills with mascara, which deposits inside the annular creases and then prevents the creases from deforming and interferes operation of the wringer, and the wringer becomes clogged by the deposited mascara. <P>SOLUTION: The wringer comprises an upper section (12) having a first inner diameter, a lower section (15) having a second inner diameter (D2) which is less than the first inner diameter, and an intermediate section (13) which forms a single inwardly projecting annular crease (14) delimiting a central throat (26) having a third inner diameter which in the rest position is at least equal to the second inner diameter.
