POLARIZATION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarization control device capable of realizing an arbitrary polarization state.

SOLUTION: The polarization control device includes: a branch part for branching light of the input linear polarization into two; a first intensity modulator and a second intensity modulator which modulate intensity for each of two branched input light; a phase modulator which modulates a phase for at least one of outputs of the first intensity modulator and the second intensity modulator; a polarization synthesis part which multiplexes two of the modulated lights by orthogonally crossing one of the polarization.
