A method for acquiring information of a home Node B, a method for balancing load, and apparatuses therefor, which solve the problem that UEs are indicated to hand over to an appropriate home Node B (HNB)when a macro cell performs a load balancing. In the present invention, since the macro Node B actively acquires information of a target Node B and, based on an access type of the target Node B, balances the UEs of the macro Node B to the HNB in time, wherein the HNB is able to provide service, so that the rate of drop call resulted from blind handoff is reduced, and measurement information of the UE is fully taken into account, so that the success rate of balancing handoff is increased and the purpose to perform effectively the load balancing in circumstance with HNB is arrived at.
