A new method for measuring the temperature gradient of a well is claimed. This method uses multiple and parallel temperature sensors to calculate the well's temperature at each point in the well. This reduces noise found in electronic measurements in order to improve the well's temperature measurement and improve the calculation of the well's temperature gradient. The use of natural background gamma enhances the calculation of the well's temperature gradient and improves the detection of changing rock formations intersecting the well. |
