Disclosed is an optical methane gas detection device having a function of displaying a detection point. In one embodiment, the methane gas detection device comprises: a laser module emitting a detection laser having a specific wavelength; a condenser condensing the detection laser reflected by methane gas; a signal converter converting the detection laser condensed by the condenser into an electric signal and transmitting the electric signal; a signal analyzer analyzing the electric signal transmitted from the signal converter; an imaging camera capturing an image at a point at which the detection laser is emitted by the laser module; and an image display displaying the captured image information to a user, thereby enabling the point of methane gas detection to be seen with the unaided eye regardless of a detection situation.
