This dielectric ceramic contains Ba and Nb, as well as Zn and/or Co, as principle components, and K and Ta as secondary components, the ratio (A) of the peak intensity (p2) of the (111) plane peak to the peak intensity (p1) of the (310) plane peak in an X-ray diffraction measurement being 0.9-1.5, the half width (C) of the (111) plane peak being in a range of 0.12-0.22°, the d-value (D) of the (111) plane peak being in a range of 2.363-2.371, and the ceramic having a perovskite structure.
