HYBRID SUPERCONDUCTING FAULT CURRENT LIMITER

PURPOSE: A hybrid superconducting fault current limiter is provided to immediately satisfy an operation with reclosing without replacing a fuse of an existing current limiting circuit by adopting s capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum interrupter and power semiconductor switching unit(320) of a fast switch(310) are serially connected between a power input port and a power output port. A drive coil(314) and protection contact point(318) of the fast switch are parallely connected. A capacitor(330) and a limiting resistance(340) are parallely connected between the power input port and power output port. A vacuum interrupter(312) and protection contact point of the fast switch are interlocked with the repulsive power of an electric repeller plate(316). The vacuum interrupter, electromagnetic repeller plate, and protection contact point of the fast switch are mechanically connected.
