<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking force control device and braking force control method, capable of reducing uncomfortable feeling given to a driver when the operation amount of a brake pedal is rapidly decreased by the driver. <P>SOLUTION: Fluid pressure in a wheel cylinder which communicates with a master cylinder communicating with a reserve tank via a first communication path while a brake pedal is not operated by a driver, via a second communication path and which applies a braking force to a wheel is increased to fluid pressure equal to or higher than a master cylinder pressure generated by the master cylinder according to the operation amount of the brake pedal. If the operation amount of the brake pedal is decreased from a predetermined operation amount threshold value or more to less than the operation amount threshold value, the degree of the pressure increase is reduced relative to a fluid pressure increased to a fluid pressure equal to or higher than the master cylinder pressure. In addition, if the operation speed of the brake pedal in the return direction is equal to or higher than the predetermined operation speed, the operation amount threshold value is increased as compared with a case when the operation speed is less than the operation speed threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
