SEMICONDUCTOR LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE AND LIGHTING FIXTURE FOR VEHICLE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture for vehicle capable of obtaining projection light having a clear cutoff line.

SOLUTION: A semiconductor light-emitting device as a light source of a lighting fixture for vehicle is provided with a semiconductor light-emitting element 12 and one or a plurality of light extraction layers which are laminated on the light emission face and include a wavelength conversion layer 13. The light extraction layer has optical characteristics which change from one end 13a to the other end 13b in one direction parallel to the light-emitting face, and the luminance distribution of the semiconductor light-emitting device has a distribution 17 in which one end side is maximum and the other end side is minimum.
