<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent three-dimensional observation of a specimen. <P>SOLUTION: A present invention includes: a pair of observation optical systems 13-1 and 13-2 for observing a specimen 12 from different directions, respectively, via an objective lens 14; cylinder prisms 15-1 and 15-2 which are disposed on optical paths L1 and L2 of the observation optical systems 13-1 and 13-2, respectively, and which move the optical paths L1 and L2 to orthogonal directions thereof; and a tilt mechanism which changes tilt angles of the cylinder prisms 15-1 and 15-2 such that directions to which the optical paths L1 and L2 are moved by the cylinder prisms 15-1 and 15-2 become reverse directions.
