<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a regenerated elastic roller, which can be reused as various types of elastic rollers for an image forming apparatus using an electrophotographic process. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a regenerated elastic roller includes a process of removing a firmly adhering substance, which includes a toner containing wax and firmly adhering to the surface of an elastic roller comprising a core shaft and an elastic layer as a surface layer. The process includes steps of: (1) softening the adhering substance by heating the elastic roller so as to migrate the wax to the surface of the adhering substance; (2) irradiating the outer surface of the adhering substance in which the wax is migrated to the surface by the step (1), with plasma; (3) forming a liquid adhesive layer by applying a liquid adhesive to cover the adhering substance irradiated with plasma in the step (2), and drying and solidifying the liquid adhesive layer so as to form a peeling layer integrated with the adhering substance; and (4) removing the adhering substance from the elastic layer surface by peeling the peeling layer from the elastic layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
