<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode assembly which can alleviate the inconvenience due to generation of burr, which is a problem in a cut surface of a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate which can be cut into prescribed sizes while complementing thermal safety of a separator, and to provide a secondary battery comprising the same, and a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode assembly comprises: an active part 111b with at least one surface thereof coated with an active material; a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate comprising a plain part 111a with no active material coated; and a separator provided between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. At least one side part of the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate is coated with an inorganic coating layer 111c. With this electrode assembly and the manufacturing method thereof, the generation of burr can be reduced, which is a problem in a cut surface of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate when they are cut into prescribed sizes, and thermal safety of the separator can also be complemented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
