PURPOSE: A signal processing device and a method thereof are provided to detect only music data from audio data and store the music data by a music unit. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit converts an audio signal of a broadcast signal into audio data(S110). When RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) belongs to a second range, a music detecting unit eliminates noise of the broadcast signal(S140,S160). The music detecting unit extracts a feature vector from the audio data(S180). The music detecting unit determines music of the audio data(S190). When a music feature is maintained during preset time, the music detecting unit stores the detected music data in a storage unit(S200,S210).
