PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to integrate a light guide plate with a guide panel by an insert injection method, thereby slimming the liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(150) guides light emitted from a light emitting unit. The light guide plate includes a groove formed on an edge area. A guide panel(155) is physically coupled with the groove. The guide panel is integrated with the light guide plate by a physical force. The guide panel is combined with the groove by an insert injection method. |
