<p>The expandable and retractable cabin for use in architecture, which is the subject matter of the present patent, comprises an ingenious, innovative and economical resource for providing residential and non-residential premises with isolated, private spaces for use as sanitary installation, hygiene, eating, rest, or conversation areas, in particular, for performing work that cannot be performed in front of others, such as handling money and securities, leisure pursuits and many other applications when the existing space is small and use is not continuous. The expandable and retractable cabin for use in architecture is a physical structure comprising two parts: - a fixed part and, nestable in said fixed part by means to be disclosed in due course in this description, a movable part that moves and doubles the initial area at the time of use and which is retracted later, once again being nested, allowing a saving of space through variation of the size thereof. The cabin that is the subject matter of the present patent may be produced from various materials, such as aluminium, aluminium compounds, steel, wood, MDF, agglomerates, polymer boards, phenolic boards, composite panels, sandwich panels, cardboard, glass fibre, acrylic, etc. and receive various finishings, such as painting, wood cladding, mirrors, formica or polyurethane laminates or laminates of other resins, in such a way as to assume a fine appearance that enhances the architectural solution. Figures 7 and 8 show the expandable and retractable cabin for use in architecture (1) in retracted and expanded form, respectively, and used to house a lavatory and wash basin.</p> |
