PURPOSE: An electrical connector is provided to miniaturize a connector while the connector is inserted and simultaneously obtain retention power. CONSTITUTION: A connection unit(23) has a component orthogonal to a connector insertion direction. The connection unit is extended from a contact part in a direction separated from a housing(11). A retained part(21) is adjacent to the contact part. The retained part is located in the range of the contact part in the connector insertion direction. The retained part is retained by the housing.
