PURPOSE: A ship is provided to prevent green water from flowing into an upper structure without having an impact on the design and operation of the upper structure. CONSTITUTION: A ship(10) comprises hull(100) and a break water recess. The break water recess is formed on the starboard and port and the hull. The break water recess is formed as a length of 70-90% of the length of the stem and stern of the hull, as a depth of 5-10% of the width of the hull, as a height of 5-15% of the height of the hull, and is located on a point of 55-75% of a distance between the design draft of the hull and the deck of the hull from the design draft.
