<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy storage device capable of precisely indicating fuel economy improvement effect by regenerative electric power to a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The energy storage device includes an electric power generator 11, an energy storage unit 27 connected to a load 19 via a charging and discharging circuit 25, an input/output voltage detection circuit 31, an input/output current detection circuit 33, and a control circuit 37. The control circuit 37 controls the charging and discharging circuit 25 so that the regenerative electric power generated by the electric power generator 11 is charged into the energy storage unit 27, and outputs an engine fuel saving amount Fs saved by the regenerative electric power that is actually consumed by the load, on the basis of an input/output voltage Vb detected by the input/output voltage detection circuit 31, an input/output current I detected by the input/output current detection circuit 33, a discharge period of time t for discharging the regenerative electric power to the load 19, and a conversion coefficient k obtained in advance, when controlling the charging and discharging circuit 25 so that the regenerative electric power is discharged from the energy storage unit 27 to the load 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
