<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of a liquid crystal display device capable of three-dimensional display without deteriorating the resolution. <P>SOLUTION: In a driving method of a liquid crystal display device for performing three-dimensional display by a wavelength division system, a first image to be observed by a left eye and a second image observed by a right eye are displayed by a field sequential system using RGB with different wavelength bands. The display by the field sequential system is performed by sequential writing of an image signal and lighting of a backlight for each particular region of a pixel portion instead of by sequential writing of the image signal and lighting of the backlight in the entire surface of the pixel portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
