<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable protection mechanism excellent in holding stability, a waterproof effect and a dust-proof effect. <P>SOLUTION: An optical cable protection mechanism to be used for protecting an optical cable including a plurality of core wires includes: a tube into which the optical cable is penetrated and which has a first screw part formed at one end; a branch part installed in a branch part of the optical cable and mounted in the tube; a first clamp mounted in the tube and including a plurality of claw parts to hold the branch part; and a first fastener screwed to the first screw part of the tube and including a press surface as an inclined plane. When the first fastener is screwed to the first screw part of the tube, the press surface of the first fastener presses the plurality of claw parts of the first clamp so that the plurality of claw parts are congregated on an outer peripheral surface of the branch part to further hold the branch part, and the optical cable is strongly held. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
