<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for saccharifying cellulose which is capable of increasing a conversion ratio of the cellulose, yield of the saccharides and selectivity of the saccharides, and further, enhancing content ratio of glucose in the saccharides, while suppressing excessive decomposition of the saccharides due to a pressurized hydrothermal treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The method of saccharifying cellulose by hydrolyzation includes: performing an alkali treatment of bringing a cellulose-containing material into contact with an alkaline solution; bringing the cellulose-containing material into contact with an aqueous solvent after cleaning the cellulose-containing material with water and/or an acid solution; applying a heating treatment and pressurizing treatment to the mixture; and obtaining an aqueous solution containing water-soluble oligosaccharide or glucose. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
