<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sectioning image with high contrast. <P>SOLUTION: The non-linear microscope includes: generating means (11 to 13) for generating a laser beam for causing a specific type of molecule in an observation object (10) to excite light of a specific wavelength by non-linear optical process; condensing means (18) for condensing the laser beam and forming laser spots on the surface of the observation object; separating means (161 and 162) for separating the laser spots into a pair of laser spots displaced in the surface; detecting means (21 to 25) for generating a signal indicating a phase shift between the light of the specific wavelength excited by one of the pair of laser spots and the light of the specific wavelength excited by the other; and control means (30) for measuring the distribution of the signals in a surface of the observation object by repeatedly capturing the signals while scanning the surface of the observation object by use of the pair of laser spots. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
