<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video distribution method and a video distribution server that allow a digested video image having collected previous highlight scenes to be automatically generated and distributed without human editing work so that a viewer who has started viewing in the middle of a video image can grasp the details of the previously-delivered video image. <P>SOLUTION: The video distribution server receives input information about operation of requesting replay of video images, sent by multiple user terminals to which the video images are distributed, with a receiving section 22 and manages the video image sites of normal play video images viewed again based on the input information and the viewing frequency of the video image sites as popular replay sites management information 28. The video distribution server also comprises a distribution section 23 that, to the user terminals having requested the start of viewing video images after their distribution, replays the video images frequently viewed at a normal speed and replays the other video images at a rapid speed, with respect to the replayed video images ranging from firstly distributed ones to currently distributed ones, and switching them to the normal distribution of video images when catching up with the currently distributed video image sites. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
