A battery of the present invention has: a laminated electrode body (3), wherein positive electrode plates (6) and negative electrode plates (5) are laminated with separators (4) therebetween; a battery container (18), which houses the laminated electrode body (3); an electrolytic solution, which is contained in the battery container (18); and insulating sheets (7, 8, 9), which are to be inserting guides at the time of housing the laminated electrode body (3) in the battery container (18), and which are disposed between the housed laminated electrode body (3) and the battery container (18), and has openings (14, 15) formed therein, said openings being close to the bottom of the battery container (18) in the state wherein the insulating sheets are disposed. The convective flow of the electrolytic solution is promoted by means of the openings (14, 15). |
