The film camera (11) couples adjustable image pick-up parameters with an apparatus (13) e.g. film camera and/or recorder. The image pick-up parameters of the film camera or a part are synchronized with appropriate image pick-up parameters of the apparatus. The film camera is formed as a master for operating in master-master-architecture. The film camera is formed to transmit and/or receive warning-, error recognition- and/or acceptance signals. The film camera is coupled with a computer to transfer the image pick-up parameters. The image pick-up parameters are aperture, focus distance, exposure time, color temperature, image format, compression method, data format and a frame rate. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a film camera system comprising a film camera (2) a method for recording images by a film camera system (3) a computer program comprising a program code medium to execute a method for recording images.
