The invention relates to a method for detecting the ingress of water or hail into a turbine engine, said turbine engine including at least one compressor (4), a combustion chamber (1), and a turbine (2). The method includes the following steps consisting in: estimating the value of a first indicator representing an ingress of water or hail; estimating the value of a second indicator representing an ingress of water or hail, said second indicator being different from the first indicator; and calculating the value of an aggregate indicator by adding together at least said first and second indicators.
