PURPOSE: A method for focusing a photographed image and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to focus a photographed image based on a color channel with the highest sharpness. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal obtains image information by a camera(S210). An image sharpness control module of a control unit controls the sharpness of an image photographed by a color channel without movement of a camera lens(S220). If a corresponding image is automatically selected based on the color channel, the control unit stores the selected image in a memory(S230,S240).
