PURPOSE: A moving body detection area expansion method and a system thereof are provided to secure a clear view with respect to a dead zone which is not secured by a vision sensor or simple radar, thereby reducing possible accidents. CONSTITUTION: A detection range extension system(100) of a moving body comprises a sensing part(110), a pre-processing part(120), a transmission part(130), a receiver(140), a sensor fusion processing part(150), and an output part(160). The sensing part detects traffic data within a specific area. The pre-processing part generates meta information by processing the detected traffic data. The receiver receives detection information transmitted from the outside. The sensor fusion processing part generates final metal information by fusing the meta information and the detection information. The output part outputs the final meta information.
