A live broadcast content distribution system and method, and fringe nodes are provided in the present invention. The system includes: a central node and at least one fringe node, and the fringe nodes are connected to the central node directly, or through one or more fringe nodes, wherein the central node is connected to a live broadcast source; the central node is configured to obtain a transport stream (TS) and send the TS to the fringe nodes; the fringe nodes are configured to encapsulate and store the TS obtained from the central node, and receive a request for providing a live broadcast service from a client of itself. The present invention can reduce the live broadcast delay efficiently, and reduce the operator investment in hardware devices. |
