Space frame of the type with upper and lower networks of tubular longitudinal and lateral bar members 10, 11, in which the nodes or intersections of the bars 10, 11 are interconnected with oblique struts 14, the bars 10, 11 being pressed flat and overlapping at each intersection and the bars 14, which are tubular, being pressed flat and deformed at their ends so as to form fastening feet 15, bolts 17 which connected the fastening feet 15 and overlap the flat-pressed bar parts 12, and load distributing plates 19, 20, 21, 22, one 22 of which has side edges which bear against shoulders or contact surfaces 16 on the bars 14 which bear against the fastening feet 15, and the other 19, 20, 21 of which have corner parts which rest on the ends of the top and bottom flat-pressed parts 12 on the bar members. <IMAGE>
