PURPOSE:To obtain a demodulation signal with high quality by adding a signal obtained by squaring an input signal and applying level adjustment thereto with a signal retarding the input signal so as to eliminate the need for a large carrier level. CONSTITUTION:A signal entering from an input terminal 1 is divided into two; one is squared by a square device 2 and adjusted by a level adjusting device 3 (also in common use as amplification when the level is in shortage). The other signal is given a delay time by a delay circuit 4 having the same delay time as that produced by the square device 2 and the level adjusting device 3, and an output is obtained by adding both the signals at an adder 5. The level adjusting device 3 and the delay circuit 4 have only to be adjusted so that a spurious wave is minimized by observing an output of the adder 5 by a spectrum analyzer or the like actually. Thus, the distortion is eliminated for the frequency component being twice the original sound giving displeasure on the listening sense especially.
