<p>The invention relates to a method for fastening a retainer (12) of an airbag, in particular of a window bag (10), to a body (28) of a motor vehicle having the steps:
- arranging the retainer (12) on the body (28) by inserting a hollow pin (26) in a corresponding bodyshell opening;
- positioning a tool (30);
- pressing a pin (24) into an opening of the hollow pin (26), and thereby securing the hollow pin (26) in the corresponding bodyshell opening.
