Charging of electrical vehicles

A method for charging a battery of an electrical vehicle 28 from an energy storage system 26 for storing electrical energy received from a power grid 22 comprises the step of estimating an amount of electrical energy in the energy storage system 26 that originates from renewable energy sources 14, 16 and the step of charging the battery of the electrical vehicle 28 in response thereto.
