PURPOSE:To obtain a light and super-thin shape transformer, by having a bobbin around which wires are wound, and a core formed of piling a plural sheets of silicon steel plates, and then fitting the front edge of the core to the central hole part of the bobbin. CONSTITUTION:This transformer is composed of the following; a super-thin size bobbin 10 having a central hole part 11 and a fitting part which is formed by cutting upper and lower plates 12a and 12a' of the wire 12-winding bobbin 10 in recessed shapes at the part fitted to the upper and lower cores 15b and 15b', and a core made of nearly U-shaped silicon steel plates having front edges 16a and 16b in desirable areas piled in plural sheets and bent inside so that these front edges 16a and 16b are in mesh with each other. The inside-bent front edges 16a and 16b of the core 15 are fitted to two cores 15a and 15b from the left and right sides at the central hole part 11 of the bobbin and then mechanical pressure is applied to these cores 15a and 15b to joint them by a press using adhesives. Hence, a super-thin size transformer useful for an amplifier, a high frequency booster, an interphone, low and high frequency transformers for office machinery, a power supply transformer, and the like which respectively requires a super-thin size transformer, can be obtained.
