PURPOSE:To contrive higher fixability of printed characters, figures or the like, by providing a treating layer on the surface of a transparent base by using a composition comprising a resin capable of being dissolved in or swollen with a high boiling point solvent of general formula HO(C2H4O)a(C3H6O)bH selected as a high boiling point solvent essential to an ink composition. CONSTITUTION:A resin for forming a treating layer may be a natural resin such as shellac, a resin capable of being swollen with or dissolved in a high boiling point solvent, such as cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, polyvinyl alcohol and a polyacrylamide, a high molecular weight derivative modified to be capable of being swollen with or dissolved in the high boiling point solvent by partially introducing thereto a polar group such as -CCO<->NH4<+>, -COO<->M<+>, -NH4.HCl and -OH, a copolymer resin comprising at least a monomer constituting a resin capable of being swollen with or dissolved in the high boiling point solvent, a derivative of the copolymer resin, or the like. The resin may be any one which can be swollen with or dissolved in the high boiling point solvent having the structural formula HO(C2H4O)a(C3H6O)bH, and has a good transparency. |
