A writing and drawing aid comprises a rigid or flexible hand cast or glove 1, and is designed, in use, to assist people to shape their hand in order to grasp writing instruments. The hand cast has an attachment means for a removable writing instrument, whereby the writing instrument 2 is supported on finger 8, and enclosed between thumb 5 on the left, finger 6 on top, and finger 7 on the right. Alternatively, the writing instrument may be permanently attached to the hand cast.
