A device holder 124, 126 for an adhesive roller in a contact cleaning apparatus 100 comprises a recess 156 extending from one side of the device holder to another and capable of receiving an end of a shaft assembly 180 containing an adhesive roller 110, and at least one notch 158 located on the recess. The end of the shaft assembly is capable of snap fitting into the notch. Also disclosed is a contact cleaning apparatus comprising a contact cleaning roller 112 capable of removing contaminating debris from a substrate surface and an adhesive roller 110 mounted on ends of a shaft assembly 180 and capable of removing debris from the contact cleaning roller. The ends of the shaft assembly are capable of snap fitting into a notch in a recess of the device holder 124, 126.
