Grinding device

The grinder (10) has a housing (20), and a tool spindle supported in the housing for driving a tool (22) by a protective hood (24), which is locked at the housing. An actuator device is attached to the housing and fixed between positions, where the tool spindle is released in one of the positions and secured in the other position against twist. The protective hood is adjusted in an angular position at the housing. The protective hood is released from the housing in a third position, and a slider is biased into the former position by a biasing unit i.e. spring. The slider is made of plastic. The tool is designed as a grinding or cutting tool.
