PURPOSE: An image display device and an operating method thereof are provided to adaptively vary the gray scale of a current frame image according to a 3D image or a 2D image. CONSTITUTION: A controller varies the gray scale of a current frame image according to the gray scale difference between a current frame image and a previous frame image of an input image(S935). The controller displays the current frame image of the varied gray scale on a display(S940). The gray scale of the current frame image varies according to whether the input image is a 2D image or a 3D image. |
