PHOTO-CATALYST SYSTEM FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS IN SHIP

PURPOSE: A photocatalyst device for purifying the exhaust gas of a ship is provided to maximize purifying efficiency on exhaust gas by widely setting a contact area between the coated part of photocatalyst and an ultraviolet light source. CONSTITUTION: A photocatalyst device for purifying the exhaust gas of a ship comprises a hollow body(16), photocatalyst plates(18), an ultraviolet lamp(20), and a water spraying unit(22). The hollow body is installed in the exhaust pipe of engine. The photocatalyst plate is installed on the body and decomposes combustion contaminant. The photocatalyst plates are arranged at an interval as a multi layer of zigzag in a crossing direction on the discharging route of the exhaust gas in the body. The ultraviolet lamp is installed in the body and irradiates ultraviolet rays to the photocatalyste plates.
