PURPOSE: An air shutoff valve for a fuel cell system is provided to easily and quickly open the flow path of a valve body even in case of icing between a valve plate and the valve body. CONSTITUTION: An air shutoff valve for a fuel cell system comprises a valve body(10) and a valve plate(20) which is installed inside the valve body. A barrier, which contacts the valve plate to block a flow path in closing of the valve, is installed on the bottom of the flow path of the valve body so that the valve plate can be instantly rotated without thawing in case of cold starting. The barrier is made of metal, rubber, or silicon.
