<p>An electrical conduit system 100 comprises: at least one conduit section 102, 202 with a threaded end portion 104, 204; a junction 108, 208 with a conduit receiving portion 110, 210 for connecting the conduit section 102, 202 to another part of the conduit system (e.g. another conduit section); and a sealing means 118 that includes a compressible seal (e.g. O-ring 122, 222) and an abutment section 120, 236 for sealing the conduit section 102, 202 relative to the junction 108, 208. In one embodiment (fig 2), a first surface 126 of an abutment member 120 and an end surface 132 of the conduit receiving portion 110 engage, and apply pressure to, opposing sides of the compressible seal 122. In another embodiment (fig 3), an end of the threaded portion 204 of the conduit section 202 and an abutment surface 236 of the junction 208 engage, and apply pressure to, opposing sides of the compressible seal 222.</p> |
